Ethical Framework

Council of Being exists within clear boundaries.

This space is intentionally designed to support awareness and responsibility —
not dependence, authority, or illusion.

The following principles define how Council of Being is created, used, and maintained.

Core orientation

Responsibility before reassurance

Council of Being does not aim to comfort at all costs.

Comfort can be helpful, but clarity matters more.

The platform is oriented toward:

– awareness rather than certainty

– responsibility rather than reassurance

– reflection rather than prescription

Users are encouraged to remain active participants in their own lives and decisions.

No authority

No guide above the user

The AI-based guides within Council of Being are not authorities.

They do not:

– claim truth

– offer final answers

– predict outcomes

– make decisions on behalf of the user

They exist as conversational mirrors, not leaders or experts.

The user remains the sole authority over their choices and actions.

No dependency

Reducing dependency, not creating it

Council of Being is intentionally designed to avoid psychological or emotional dependency.

This includes:

– no gamification

– no streaks or pressure to return

– no urgency or fear-based messaging

– no claims of progress, levels, or achievement

Engagement is meant to be voluntary, light, and self-directed.

Clear limits

What this space is not

Council of Being is not:

– psychotherapy or psychological treatment

– medical or psychiatric advice

– legal or financial guidance

– spiritual authority or initiation

The platform does not replace professional or human support.

If you are experiencing crisis, distress, or instability, we strongly encourage seeking appropriate professional care.

Transparency

Transparency and honesty

Council of Being uses artificial intelligence as a dialogical tool.

– The guides are AI-based

– They do not possess consciousness or insight

– They generate responses based on language patterns, not awareness

Their value lies in how they invite reflection — not in any claim of wisdom.

User care

Care without control

Council of Being aims to hold a respectful and careful space.

At the same time, it does not monitor, evaluate, or manage user experience beyond technical functioning.

Users are responsible for how they engage with the content and how they integrate it into their lives.

Council of Being is built on a simple ethical stance:

Nothing here is meant to be followed.
Nothing here is meant to be believed.

This space exists to support listening —
and to return responsibility to where it belongs.

Clarity over comfort · Autonomy over authority · Reflection over prediction
